Amanda, a native of Newfane, earned a college degree in restaurant management and travel services, then “married into a real estate family,” as she describes it: her husband, Robert, is the son of North Real Estate founder Bob North. Amanda started out working at the front desk, but she was soon restless for a more challenging role and eventually became involved in all aspects of the business, including residential and commercial construction, rentals, sales, and property management services. Her husband encouraged her to get her real estate license, and she hit the ground running, serving as a sales and rental agent as well as principal broker while racking up years of experience in the Mount Snow / Haystack / Deerfield Valley region.
When her father-in-law died unexpectedly in 2006, Amanda found herself stepping up, along with her longtime North colleague Philip Waller (now also with TPW), to help run the family business. The pair eventually purchased the company and ran it successfully for five years. North was bought by TPW in 2012, and Amanda has brought her 18 years of experience in the Valley to TPW, specializing primarily in the Deerfield Valley region of Southern Vermont.
